Description
Have your students dive into “The Veldt” by Ray Bradbury with this fun and engaging Character Collabs project! In this hands-on activity, students will analyze the main characters—George, Lydia, Peter, and Wendy—through collaborative literary analysis that combines creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork.
Each group will explore their assigned character’s personality traits, motivations, and development throughout the story. Their findings will be represented visually on a collaborative poster, transforming literary analysis into an interactive and memorable experience that deepens comprehension and engagement with the text.
Students will begin by analyzing their assigned character using the included brainstorming worksheet to organize evidence and key insights. They’ll then record their findings in the designated sections on the poster before working together to color and assemble the final display. Once completed, each six-piece poster can be printed on regular paper or cardstock and will measure approximately 28" x 15" when taped together.
This resource includes teacher directions, student instructions, a holistic rubric, and a character analysis brainstorming worksheet (all provided in both PDF and editable Word document formats). It also includes blank coloring pages for each character, answer keys, and digitally colored examples to guide and inspire your students.
