Description
Have your students create a collaborative poster and learn about Oscar Wilde in a new and engaging way! This creative project invites students to explore the wit, brilliance, and legacy of one of literature’s most celebrated authors through a hands-on, collaborative activity. Students will research Oscar Wilde’s life, major works, and influence on literature and culture while also developing essential teamwork and communication skills.
Working in groups, students will research Oscar Wilde, record their findings in the designated sections of the poster, and color or paint each piece to bring their project to life. Once the six pages are taped together, the completed display forms a cohesive and visually striking poster. The final product measures 28" x 15", can be printed on regular copy paper or cardstock, and will last for years if laminated.
This resource includes step-by-step student directions, an author study project rubric, a graphic organizer, six blank coloring pages that combine into one complete poster, an Oscar Wilde author study answer key, and a fully completed example showing both text and color.
This collaborative author study is a perfect addition to any literature unit from The Importance of Being Earnest to The Picture of Dorian Gray and beyond!
