Description

Have your students create a collaborative poster and learn about Lewis Carroll in a new and engaging way! This creative project invites students to explore the life, works, and legacy of the beloved author and mathematician whose real name was Charles Lutwidge Dodgson. Through this hands-on, collaborative activity, students will research Lewis Carroll’s biography, major works, and lasting influence on literature while developing essential teamwork and communication skills.

Working together, students will research Lewis Carroll, record their findings in the designated sections of the poster, and color each piece to bring the project to life. Once the six pages are taped together, the completed display forms a cohesive and visually striking poster. The final product measures approximately 28" × 15", can be printed on regular copy paper or cardstock, and will last for years if laminated.

This resource includes step-by-step student directions, a project rubric, a graphic organizer, six blank coloring pages that combine into one complete poster, a Lewis Carroll answer key, and a fully completed example showing both text and color.

This collaborative author study is a wonderful supplement to any unit on Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland or other classic British literature lessons.
