Have your students create a collaborative poster and learn about John Keats in a new and engaging way! This creative project invites students to explore the life, poetry, and legacy of one of literature’s most influential Romantic poets through a hands-on, collaborative activity. Students will research John Keats’s life, major works, and impact on literature and culture while also developing essential teamwork and communication skills.

Working in groups, students will research John Keats, record their findings in the designated sections of the poster, and color each piece to bring their project to life. Once the six pages are taped together, the completed display forms a cohesive and visually striking poster. The final product measures 28" x 15", can be printed on regular copy paper or cardstock, and will last for years if laminated.

This resource includes step-by-step student directions, an author study project rubric, a graphic organizer, six blank coloring pages that combine into one complete poster, a John Keats author study answer key, and a fully completed example showing both text and color.

This collaborative author study is a perfect addition to any literature unit focusing on Romantic poetry or the works of John Keats, from “Ode to a Nightingale” to “La Belle Dame sans Merci” and beyond.
