Description
Have your students create a collaborative poster and learn about Jane Austen in a new and engaging way! This project encourages students to research the life and legacy of one of literature’s most beloved authors and present their findings through a creative, hands-on biography poster. Students will explore Jane Austen’s background, her celebrated novels, and her impact on English literature while strengthening their collaboration and communication skills.
Working in small groups, students will research Jane Austen, record their findings in the designated sections of the poster, and color or paint each piece to bring their project to life. Once the six pages are taped together, the final product forms a cohesive and visually striking display. The completed poster measures 28" x 15", can be printed on regular copy paper or cardstock, and will last for years if laminated.
This resource includes step-by-step student directions, an author study project rubric, a graphic organizer, six blank coloring pages that combine into one complete poster, a Jane Austen author study answer key, and a fully completed example showing both text and color.
This collaborative author study is a perfect addition to any novel study from Pride and Prejudice to Sense and Sensibility and beyond!
