Have your students create a collaborative poster and learn about Henry David Thoreau in a new and engaging way! This creative project invites students to explore the life, philosophy, and literary contributions of one of America’s most influential transcendentalist authors through a hands-on, collaborative activity. Students will research Thoreau’s biography, major works, and lasting influence on American thought and literature while strengthening their teamwork and communication skills.
Working together, students will research Henry David Thoreau, record their findings in the designated sections of the poster, and color each piece to bring the project to life. Once the six pages are taped together, the completed display forms a cohesive and visually striking poster. The final product measures approximately 28" × 15", can be printed on regular copy paper or cardstock, and will last for years if laminated.
