Description
Have your students create a collaborative poster and research an influential figure in a fun, fresh, and engaging way! This versatile project encourages students to explore the life and legacy of a person who made a lasting impact—while also promoting teamwork and communication as they work together toward a shared goal.
Students will conduct research on their chosen figure and demonstrate their understanding of that individual’s life, accomplishments, and influence by creating a vibrant biography poster. They’ll begin by gathering key information about their subject, recording it in the designated sections on the poster, and then working together to color or paint and assemble the six-piece design. Once taped together, the completed poster measures approximately 28" x 15" and can be printed on regular paper or cardstock. For durability and display, you can laminate the finished product.
This resource includes student directions, a project rubric, and a brainstorm graphic organizer (all provided in both PDF and editable Word document formats). It also includes six blank coloring pages that come together to form one cohesive poster, featuring two adult male templates, two adult female templates, one male child template, and one female child template, allowing you to customize the project for any influential figure.
