Description
This full poetry unit is designed for ELA classrooms in grades 7, 8, or 9 and provides four full weeks of instruction. This resource includes a variety of lessons, activities, projects, a TDA essay, a digital escape room, and a final assessment, making it a complete and engaging poetry unit.
This Unit Plan Bundle also includes a teacher guide with a day-by-day pacing schedule, allowing for easy implementation and flexible planning. Teachers may follow the provided schedule or adapt lessons to meet classroom needs.

This unit is intentionally designed to expose students to a wide range of poetic styles and structures, allowing them to analyze at least twelve different poems while also developing their own poetry through structured writing activities.
This poetry unit works well as a stand-alone poetry unit or as part of a larger ELA curriculum and provides teachers with clear guidance while keeping students actively engaged.
