Description
Have your students create a collaborative poster and learn about Edgar Allan Poe in a fun and engaging way!
Your students will research Poe’s life and works, then collaborate to design an author biography poster that highlights his literary achievements and personal history. Through this project, they will gain a deeper understanding of Poe’s body of work while also developing teamwork and communication skills.
Project Steps
Students will begin by researching Edgar Allan Poe in small groups to collect important facts about his life, writing style, and notable works. Once their research is complete, they will transfer their findings into the corresponding boxes on the poster template. Afterward, they will color or paint each section and assemble the final product by taping the six pieces together. The completed poster measures approximately 28" x 15" and can be printed on regular copy paper or card stock. Laminating it ensures it lasts for years to come.
