Description
Have your students create a collaborative poster and learn about Anne Frank in a new and engaging way! Students will design an author biography by researching Anne Frank and building her profile on a beautifully illustrated poster. Through this activity, they will explore Anne Frank’s life, her legacy, and her lasting impact as a legendary author.
This project also emphasizes the importance of collaboration, creativity, and effective communication as students work together toward a shared goal. It makes the perfect addition to any unit on The Diary of Anne Frank or The Diary of a Young Girl.
Students will work in groups to research Anne Frank, record their findings on designated areas of the poster, color or paint each section, and assemble the final display. The poster consists of six printable pages that can be printed on standard paper or card stock. Once taped together, the finished product measures approximately 28" x 15" and can be laminated for lasting classroom display.
This resource includes Student Directions (PDF and editable Word document), a Project Rubric (PDF and editable Word document), a Graphic Organizer for Students (PDF and editable Word document), Six Blank Coloring Pages that form the completed poster, an Anne Frank Answer Key, and an Example of the Final Project.
